Banana and Frozen Daiquiri (from 2004)

BANANA DAIQUIRI
1 ½ oz. White rum
2/3 oz. Lime juice
1/6 oz. Simple syrup
½ Banana
Build over the ingredients in a blender with ice flakes. No strain and pour into a goblet
glass.
The difference between this drink and the Daiquiri is simply the way to prepare it and
obviously the addition of the fruit, in this case the banana. Fruit of Arab origin (probably,
given that the word banan means finger) banana is the fruit originated from the banana
tree: more precisely, we talk of apyrene fruit of the same plant, since this is seedless.
The drink is prepared with a blender with ice flakes, but modern blenders can work very
well even with ice cubes, breaking them up. By changing the type of fruit used, you can
have different drinks (for example using strawberry, raspberry, etc.).

FROZEN DAQUIRI
1 ½ oz. White rum
2/3 oz. Lime juice
1/6 oz. Simple syrup
1 Scoop Ice Cream
Build over the ingredients in a blender with ice flakes. No strain and pour into a goblet
glass. Serve with straws.
This is another variant of the Daiquiri, in which you add a scoop of ice cream (your choice)
and blend with ice flakes. Like the previous one, it should be served in a goblet type glass
(a sort of ballon suitable for long drinks), but you can easily use a sombrero cup, suitable
for frozen dishes. As the Banana Daiquiri, just change the flavor of ice cream used, to
have variations … of the variants.
